So it's like this:
My garantee ran out June 22, 2000.
Aug. 3rd I was adjusting my rear wheel in an attempt to reduce the squeaks.
I had the bike up on a stand and was running the motor when I thought I heard strange noises coming from the bottom end!!
I stopped the motor and opened the screwed lid on mthe left side of the crank case.
I found that I could wobble the crankshaft with a screwdriver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's after only 32'000 Km !!
I don't drive fast. I allow the motor to warm up by driving gently. I don't let the motor hammer due to low revs.
All services were done and the oil level never dropped below medium.
What can have caused this?
The good news is that the Dealer *immediately* and with no discussion said that it would also be fixed on the garantee!!
Not even a discussion about who pays how much!!
So at the moment I'm riding a Suzuki Freewind, also a 650 thumper but enduro not chopper, which they have lent me free of charge.
They're not bad those guys!!
